Construction workers at work from a birds eye viewpoint

Risk Assessment for the Construction Industry

If your business is still operating during these challenging times, it’s important to continue updating your risk assessments, in order to identify potential risks and mitigate against them. As an employer, it’s your legal duty to keep your employees safe – and, during the coronavirus outbreak, it’s particularly important to ensure the working environment is as safe as it can be.

We have developed a Site Operating Procedures PDF for the construction sector, covering:

  • Self-isolation
  • Travel to site
  • Site access points
  • Hygiene procedures
  • On-site facilities
  • Eating arrangements
  • Avoiding close working
  • Cleaning

Our Risk Assessment for construction sites will help to identify workplace hazards and what controls should be used to mitigate these risks. Should an employee make a claim against you, you will need to demonstrate you have done all you can to protect your employees from risk. Providing evidence of a completed and regularly updated risk assessment will demonstrate you have done your due diligence.
